MedStar Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to support pre- and post-operative services across its community-focused healthcare system. In this role, you will educate patients and caregivers on surgical preparation, recovery, and safe care practices, while developing and delivering clinical learning for nursing colleagues. Partner with interprofessional teams to strengthen evidence-based practice, patient safety, and compassionate care. Help assess learning needs, evaluate education outcomes, and contribute to continuous improvement. Educate patients and caregivers about pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery.
Develop and deliver clinical education for nursing staff on perioperative care and evidence-based practices.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, coordinated patient care.
Assess learning needs and evaluate the effectiveness of education and training.
Promote clinical excellence, patient safety, and continuous improvement.
